دستگاههای آماده سازی نمونه به منظور استفاده آنها در XRF شامل دستگاههای آسیاب ، پرس و ذوب نمونه می باشند که جهت تهیه قرصهای همگن مواد (قرصهای پودری فشرده و قرصهای شیشه ای) به منظور استفاده در اسپکترومترهای اشعه ایکس مورد استفاده قرار می گیرند.
مهم ترین مسئله در آماده سازی نمونه های XRD ، آسیاب آنها به منظور رساندن اندازه ذرات به حد مناسب جهت آنالیز کیفی و کمی است.
